The Mid-Century Molluscs perform Unthunk’s “Return to the sea” is a tribute to Rachel Carson was born and raised in Pennsylvania, away from the ocean, but found her calling in marine biology. The song “Reverence” is the first preview for the album, imagining the progress of her discovery of the ocean to the epiphany that sparked her vocation. It consists of four verses, each with an independent structure, essentially four little songs.
